Fall Fashion Week 2010: Jeremy Scott
Jeremy Scott is so fresh and inspiring with his pop art-inspired digs. His fashion is like fine art meets street-kid graffiti. The legendary Karl Lagerfeld even gave Jeremy the ultimate compliment when told Le Monde newspaper that he was the only designer who could take over after he leaves Chanel (according to Wikipedia). Whoa!

Red Curry Stir Fry
I love a good stir fry, and there really isn't anything easier to cook up. All you do is chop up some of your fav veggies (sugar snap peas, onions, broccoli, peppers, mushrooms, etc.), add a protein (beef, chicken, shrimp, tofu, etc.), and finish it off with some stir fry sauce (these can easily be found in your "ethnic" foods section of your grocery store). I discovered a new sauce to add to my stir fry, and that is Trader Joe's Red Curry sauce. It's a little spicy, creamy from the coconut milk, and adds a delicious flavor to your meal. An entire meal takes 10 minutes - TOPS!

Yard Sale Chic: Gold TOMS
I live close to an Urban Outfitters so you betcha I frequent that store often. I just snatched up a pair of gold sequin TOMS for $9.99 (they're usually around $40-$70). TOMS are an eco-friendly shoe, and when you a buy a pair, they donate a pair to a needy child. So I got a deal AND helped out a child. Now what to wear with gold, shiny shoes?

Hunger + Thunder & Lightning = Jimmy Dean Commercial
I think the Jimmy Dean breakfast commercials are high-larious! You know, the one with all the people dressed up like planets, the sun, the moon, etc! My personal fav is the Thunder & Lightning commercial. BOOOOM!

Fall Fashion Week 2010: Over-the-Knee

Over-the-knee (or thigh-high) boots and leg wear is nothing new, but at 2010 Fall NY Fashion Week, this look was still very prominent. All the more reinforcing my love of wearing short items during inappropriate weather and combining it with over-the-knee loveliness. Although I will say that I am still on the hunt for an over-the-knee boot that isn't too high, because then it would touch my ass.

French Macaroon-Madness
I was first introduced to French Macaroons by none other than Meg Coxy (who has brought many delish foods to my attention). These dainty little sweets are totally addictive, and now that I discovered a bakery by work who sells them (for $1 each), I've been eating them once a week. I have visions of Green Tea, Raspberry, Mango, Pistachio, Black Sesame macaroons dancing through my head. Yummmmm

Random Thought
Have you ever seen an adult with an "outie" bellybutton? If you have an "outie" when you're a kid, does it pop back in.....or you get fat around it?

SATC Moment
It sounds cliche to compare a life moment to Sex and the City, but it happened to me people. I thought I lost my favorite bracelet...maybe the dog stole it and buried it, or perhaps it fell off when walking. I was coming to terms that I had lost it. Of course, when you stop looking is when you find things. The bracelet was nestled in a little corner of my bag. That was an "Ahhh" moment.

Valentine's Day Gifts For Me Love
What did I get Roberto for VDay? I got us tickets to Avenue Q and the Tim Burton MoMa exhibit. Ok, so it's a gift to myself also. I've already seen Avenue Q (hence the above photo op with Trekkie Monster in 2008), but I loved it so much that I must expose my bf to it so he won't have to listen to me say, "You would LOVE this show, let's go see it!" ever again. And everyone knows my love for Tim Burton is legit. Unfortunately, this exhibit is a hot ticket in the city, and next weekend is all sold out, so we are going the following weekend. Can't wait!

R.I.P. Hercules
My brother and I got Hercules for our Birthdays (my 15th and his 11th). He was our first dog, and yesterday, he passed away in his sleep. Now he wasn't the cutest dog (to most people, but cutest to me), or the most cuddly (he didn't snuggle on the couch, but would lay next to you on the floor), he was getting age spots (I called them beauty marks), and he smelled sometimes (Shar Pei's get ear infections easily), but he was family and I loved him. He was getting old, and I knew his time would come soon. When I last saw him it was Christmas, and when I left for NY, I hugged him and I knew it would be the last time I would see him. I've never lost a dog before. I miss him and it will be very weird when I go home again....
