Freaky-Deaky

I was walking home the other weekend and came across a very interesting exhibit by NYU. Part of me laughed because these beheaded creatures looked like Muppets, and part of me was mortified for the same reason. I love Muppets...with bodies and without blood.

P.D.A - The City

I was walking in my 'hood when I came across a sweet little drawing of the city in a window display, which I think looks like a page out of a massive coloring book. How I would have loved to use my Crayolas on this picture back in the day.

Statue of Liberty (Remix)

I doctored up a photo from this past summer when we had lunch on a boat next to Lady Lib. I had a huge smile on my face the entire time I was "pho-doodling" (photoshop + doodling).

*Notice the bowler hat and the bread-and-butterfly (from Disney's Alice and Wonderland).

Silhouette Masterpieces

These images by Wilhelm Staehle are clever and comical.

Paper Cranes

My cousins taught me how to make various origami pieces growing up, but the only one I remember is the paper crane. This decor looks like something I could do.

Retail Art

I have been playing around with Photoshop lately and one day, was practicing some technique on a shopping photo I had and Voila! artwork! Of course, my skills are amateur, but it's fun to play around. My creation is a mini collection of art inspired by my retail clothing experience.

The Acceptor

I found this artist named Matt Cipov from Milwaukee, WI who has such an interesting aesthetic. I'm no art-buff, but I was drawn into his work. It reminded me of the adult cartoons on MTV in the 90s (i.e. Aeon Flux) meets "Where The Wild Things Are". What are your thoughts?

Top: "The Acceptor", Second is called "She's Got Claws", Third is "Fifty Percent", and the last piece is called "Super Super"
